Yoga Classes
“There is a light that shines beyond all things on earth,
beyond us all, beyond the heavens,
beyond the highest heavens.
This is the light that shines in our heart”
Chandogya Upanishad 3.13.7

The practice of yoga has been around for thousands of years. Yoga is based on the belief that mind, body and soul are interconnected, through yoga practice – asanas and awareness of breath we can attain a higher spiritual consciousness and inner-harmony. Yoga is excellent for relaxation and enhancing health and well-being.
My teaching style is based on The British Wheel of Yoga and Dru yoga. I have attended workshops with Donna Farhi and Sophy Hoare, their practice works more with subtle movement and energy awareness, which I enjoy.
My aim is to create a safe, peaceful, happy space for yoga practice; incorporating safe alignment for joint care, breath awareness, asanas (postures) meditation, pranayama (breath and energy control) chakra awareness relaxation and fun!
Yoga is non competitive. Classes concentrate on listening to your body, developing an attitude of non-harming (ahimsa) towards body and mind, resting when you need to, not keeping up with anyone else and learning to listen to our body`s needs.
A questionnaire is given to help me learn about your health and needs in class.
Always consult your doctor if you are unsure whether yoga is appropriate if you have any health problems.

When I started Rose’s class I had a stiff neck and shoulder and lower back pain. After three sessions all those things had gone. Rose really encourages us to listen to our bodies and so the class is as gentle or as strenuous as you want it to be. I usually arrive at the class feeling tired and drained. I always float home feeling reenergised and then I sleep like a baby!
